For those still looking to gather more information on candidates before voting, several forums will be held this week, including the St. Albert and Morinville council candidate forums tonight, along with St. Albert Public school board.
The St. Albert Chamber of Commerce will host two more virtual election forums for St. Albert council candidates on Oct. 12 and 13, both from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
An additional event where attendees can meet St. Albert's mayoral candidates is also scheduled for Oct 13. The event — also held by the chamber — will be virtual, and takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The chamber is asking attendees to pre-register online at www.stalbertchamber.com (a link to the location of the virtual forum and meet and greet will be sent to registered attendees ahead of time), and to submit questions in writing prior to the forum via email at [email protected].
These will be asked alongside the questions compiled by the Chamber's government affairs committee.
Morinville residents will hear more from the candidates at an all-candidates debate held Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. Masks and proof of COVID-19 vaccination are required to attend in person. The event will also be streamed to the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce Youtube and Facebook pages.
The Morinville and St. Albert chambers of commerce will host an online Sturgeon County forum Oct. 14 starting at 6:30 p.m. This event will be streamed to the Morinville Chamber's Youtube and Facebook pages.
St. Albert Public voters can hear their trustees debate at an online forum hosted by St. Albert Public Teachers' Local No. 73 on Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Visit the St. Albert Public trustee election website for the Zoom link.
Greater St. Albert Catholic Teachers' Local 23 will host a forum for St. Albert ward candidates at 7 p.m. this Oct. 13. Email [email protected] to participate.
