“There’s lots of exciting things going on in our school division,” he said, and he hopes to continue his work to improve school utilization rates and student mental health. 

Becigneul said his top priority, if elected, will be to lobby the province for sustainable school funding. 

Edwards said she sought to cultivate a collaborative culture while in office and spent much of her time managing the district’s rapid growth. 

"As soon as you have a race, things become about the election and not about good decision making," Heron said.

"I'm really torn about running again. I would actually like to run again, but I just don't think I can make that commitment."
