Suspect sought after man badly beaten in Edmonton road rage incident

Edmonton police are seeking witnesses to a violent assault on a man during a road rage incident last week.

Police say a black pickup truck cut off a car near a busy northwest Edmonton intersection.

They say a confrontation ensued and the driver of the truck assaulted the other driver, a 63-year-old man.

The victim was reportedly punched in the face several times, choked and knocked unconscious.

The truck driver then returned to his vehicle and fled.

The driver of the truck is described as a white male, with a thin build, between 25 and 30 years old.

Police say they'd like to get a look at any dash-cam video that passing motorists might have of the beating.
