The Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), a charitable, non-profit organization, is accepting resumes for:
Youth Centre Supervisor – Part-time – 18 to 30 hours per week depending on activities
This position is responsible to the Child and Youth Coordinator and will work directly with youth from 9 – 17 years of age in a group environment, and in one-on-one situations to support their physical, emotional, intellectual and social development.
This support is provided through relevant and dynamic programs and services offered by the Youth Centre, including involvement in conflict situations. Scheduled work hours are primarily evenings and weekends totalling approximately 18 hours per week, with additional hours for the summer program and delivery of specific on-site programs or field trips.
Applicants must have a degree/diploma in Human Services or Child/Youth Care, and a minimum of 2 years related experience working with youth. (Consideration will be given to those with an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Additional Requirements: A valid certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR, exceptional communication, customer service and organizational skills along with a requirement to work evenings and weekends. Preference will be given to those individuals who are bilingual in French and English.
