Light Up Longview... ♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year! ♫...

Are you looking for something to do on a quiet evening? Interested in a weekend day-trip activity? Or traveling south via Highway 22? You are in for an experience of joy and delight with a short, scenic drive from the south end of Calgary to the quaint Village of Longview, with its stunning mountain views along the way.

As we adjust to living in challenging times, the Village of Longview offers a warm, uplifting experience for family and friends.

Thanks to a small group of dedicated and creative volunteers, hundreds of hours of volunteer time and the instillation of ~30,000 feet of lights, our Village glows with the holiday spirit!  It’s a sight to see and hear that can be experienced in many ways. When the sun sets, come watch our display of multiple Christmas lights come to life.  Walk through our Longview Tails & Trails campground or drive through with your radio set to 89.9 FM to sing along to the sequenced musical lights.

As mother nature settles into winter in the foothills, more dedicated volunteers work to make our outdoor skating rink a reality.  Bring your skates, some firewood and food for an outdoor picnic in the campground.  Relax and feel the ambience of skating outdoors in a winter wonderland postcard of foothills and mountains!  Enjoy a gentle stroll from the campground and explore our unique shops along our main street.  And taste a little something from our delicious and appetizing food establishments

Can’t stop? We understand! We welcome you to choose Highway 22 and experience our little piece of joy from us to you. May the lights brighten your travels as you head towards your final destination.

This WHOLE magical display will be available for all to enjoy from the beginning of December until the end of January 2022.

Come and be LIGHTENED UP by our Light Up Longview in beautiful southern Alberta!
