Kenney said COVID-19 will have an impact for the next three months and economists are projecting a sharp rebound in the global economy starting in June, based on pent up demand surging.

Kenney said there is relief coming for people worried about their personal financial situation.

"Customers are encouraged to keep their accounts in good standing. We urge residents to pay bills electronically," the city stated in a news release.

In a press release, Alberta Minister of Health Tyler Shandro said they want to ensure physicians on the front lines can focus solely on providing patient care.

“It’s changing day by day, hour by hour. But I think it's really important to listen to local leaders. Listen to municipal leaders, reach out to provincial leaders and follow the advice of the experts and the scientists and the researchers,” St. Albert MLA Marie Renaud said.
