Makings of a Voice cycle extended

SkirtsAfire extends song cycle run
0703 SkirtsAfire 3
Makings of a Voice, the pet project of singer-songwriter Dana Wylie, is a major showcase at SkirtsAfire.

If you were bummed out at being unable to see roots singer Dana Wylie’s Makings of a Voice, cheer up. SkirtsAfire Reimagined has extended the theatrical song cycle until Saturday, March 20 due to popular demand.

“We are so thrilled with how SkirtsAfire has rolled out and the incredible audience response we’ve gotten for both our live and online exhibits and performances,” said artistic director Annette Loiselle. “We’ve decided to extend the digital run of Makings of a Voice to ensure all who want, are able to see this beautiful show.”

Written and performed by Wylie, and directed by St. Albert Children’s Theatre alumna Vanessa Sabourin, the theatrical song cycle is about discovering one’s identity through the telling of multiple generational narratives.

Tickets for Makings of a Voice’s digital run are $27 per household. They are available through the Fringe box office at https://tickets.fringetheatre.ca/event/601:3436/. All tickets are good for a 24-hour viewing window.
