Martin Kerr has a date with the Edmonton Symphony

Sure to be a roots-classical concert loaded with charm and heart
2207 Winspear - Martin Kerr - Woodland Walk HQ
Edmonton troubadour Martin Kerr returns to the Winspear Centre for a storytelling concert with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Even as Edmonton troubadour Martin Kerr’s latest single, You’re Amazing, sweeps the country, fans want to step out of the shadows and sing his praises.

While in his early years Kerr made ends meet busking at St. Albert Farmers Market, today he is a national presence receiving his share of notice from industry movers and shakers.

Never far from his fans, Kerr returns to the Winspear Centre on Nov. 6 to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lucas Waldin. The influential singer-songwriter previously sold out the 1,700 seat Winspear Centre in May 2017, after he was announced as an Edmonton Folk Fest performer.

A true folk-roots storyteller in the tradition of Canadian greats such as Gordon Lightfoot and Joni Mitchell, Kerr’s profound storytelling covers a whole gamut of emotions.

A powerful singer who easily connects with audiences through a combination of authenticity and charm, Kerr speaks with an impassioned voice and has been praised by the likes of Sarah McLachlan and Bruce Coburn.

Tickets start at $25 and go on sale Monday, July 29. Call 780-428-1414 or visit winspearcentre.com.
