Two of country music’s hottest rising stars, St. Albert’s Dan Davidson and Vancouver’s Shawn Austin, are added to the AIR MILES Drive-In Concert Series in Edmonton.

Tickets for the Saturday, Sept. 26, outdoor show at Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre parking lot go on sale today.

Davidson, who shifted gears as lead singer for indie rock band Tupelo Honey to country favourite in 2016, has created unquestionable momentum in the last few years.

The local singer-songwriter picked up a wall full of awards – three CCMA nominations, 10 ACMA awards, a gold record claiming a No. 1 Canadian song and 20 top charting numbers. His songs, a blend of grit and romance, range from Found and Barn Burner to Say We Did and Let’s Go There.

Unafraid to constantly improve his style, Shawn Austin has collected more than 14 million streams and was nominated the 2019 CCMA Rising Star. He’s been a finalist on Songland, a televised songwriting contest where he had the opportunity to pitch Florida Georgia Line his original material.

Doors to the drive-in concert open at 6 p.m. Show time is at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. and are available through ticketmaster.ca.
