LETTER: All children in all schools should wear masks

"We have to be careful because one kid could get sick, but who is making sure we all don't get sick?"

People have died from COVID-19 this year, but what I'm most worried about is the upcoming school year. Children in Grade 6 or under are going to school unvaccinated with about 20 other people in the room, and some of them are not having to wear masks.

What I really don't get is that children aren't allowed to bring peanuts or things that have them to school, but in some schools are allowed to go without masks. We have to be careful because one kid could get sick, but who is making sure we all don't get sick?

I know some people think that COVID-19 isn't that bad, but what if one of your family members died because you weren't being careful?
