LETTER: It's not dogs' fault owners let them bark while socializing

'Be a good neighbour. Be a responsible dog guardian.'
letter-sta

As a dog lover, I enjoy the dog park at Lacombe Lake Park. What I don't enjoy is listening to other dogs bark for 20, 30, or 60 minutes uninterrupted because their human companions are busy talking to their friends or playing on their phones.

It is not the fault of the dogs. And most people are responsible. It just takes a few, though, to ruin it for everyone.

After all, you wouldn't like it if I let my dog bark on your driveway while I play solitaire on my phone, would you? Be a good neighbour. Be a responsible dog guardian. Oh, and don't forget to pick up after your pooch, too. Thank you.
