I’m writing to make my thoughts and feelings known concerning the e-scooter pilot in St. Albert.
First, I don’t believe any of city council uses the sidewalks or they would really think twice about something else on our sidewalks.
It’s one thing to watch out for cyclists whizzing by. Occasionally some do use bells, but more often than not, they just fly by. I walk on the city sidewalks almost daily and I can count on both hands the number of close calls I’ve had from cyclists. This includes teenagers and adults.
What happened to cyclists riding on the streets? Now city council wants to add e-scooters. Really, this is ridiculous. Please give walkers a chance.
