LETTER: There's a better place to park trailers than along city streets

"It's not only frustrating to wake up and find our corner lot housing everyone's units during the week, but to watch them all circle the block and move sides like clockwork so bylaw doesn't give them tickets."

First of all I would like it known I'm a firm believer of getting out of the house, heading to the lake or a campsite, and enjoying time with family and friends. It's healthy and great for all of us, especially now.

What is concerning are the number of motorhomes, trailers, and fifth wheels hooked up to the trucks that randomly appear all over the street during this time of year, like dandelions in the park.

It's not only frustrating to wake up and find our corner lot housing everyone's units during the week, but to watch them all circle the block and move sides like clockwork so bylaw doesn't give them tickets.

Our dual-lane roads are now single lanes; our corners have become target zones for cars to pull out, or worse, for foot traffic looking to dodge cars they can't see; and vice versa, the cars have no idea someone is trying to cross with their dogs or their strollers. The saving grace is school is out.

I can appreciate you have a nice home and your double-car drive way can't house your 40-foot holiday package, but if you find room to store it during the winter, I can only assume the same storage facility has room for you in the summer.

Pro-active planning is not something we should fear. If you want the toys, then plan for where they are going to sit, because parking them right outside my front door should not be an option.
