Getting unstuck with a lifestyle coach

Do you feel stuck in your life, like you’ve walked so long down the same circular path that you’ve created a rut? Local lifestyle coach Ralph Michael knows just how you feel and he wants to help.

Do you feel stuck in your life, like you’ve walked so long down the same circular path that you’ve created a rut? Local lifestyle coach Ralph Michael knows just how you feel and he wants to help. He not only has a plan to help you break free of your boring routine and get you back on the path to your dreams – he also wrote a book about it.

Early next month, he’ll be hosting a workshop to help you develop your vision for a better future for yourself and to have an easier time doing so. The name of the workshop: Your Vision. For a long time, the author has striven to improve his own life by working toward his optimum health. Achieving his life goals was something entirely different, however.

He said he had his “light bulb moment” when he was listening to an interview between successful CEOs Vishen Lakhiani of education company Mindvalley and Jon Butcher, who offers a program called Lifebook and encourages his listeners to take a 30-day challenge to assess their lives and map out their futures.

Ralph Michael wasn’t satisfied to simply follow the advice of a few billionaires.

“I said, ‘I'm not stopping with Jon.’ I looked at Dr. Wayne Dyer. I looked at Brian Tracy, who I spent the day with in Vancouver. In November, I spent five and a half hours with Tony Robbins. Oprah is another one. She had a vision as a young girl: ‘I want to be a teacher.’ She didn't envision that she was going to be on TV as a teacher. Look at her life, right?” he said, listing off the names of people whose personal and business lives he examined.

He sat down and realized how very few of these successful people there were compared to the overall population. He said the vast majority of people are either surviving or barely getting by and only three per cent are thriving.

“The bad news is that 97 to 98 per cent of us will die without fulfilling our dreams. That's shocking news. But the good news is you can get to thrive by simply modelling what they have done. In my book Unstuck, I talk about a 10-step process,” he continued, noting he discovered common denominators between all of the 20 figures that he researched.

“They all had clear vision. They all had realistic goals that they push themselves a little bit of their comfort zone, and they were all doers. I took the common denominators. They have certain habits. They have certain patterns of behaviour. They have a certain mindset. The mindset is clear vision and daily action. ‘I'm not giving up till I succeed.' And they do.”

The e-book is a guide filled with all of the key messages boiled down to make the program easier and quicker to follow.

The workshop, he continued, will help people to gain clarity and create their own breakthrough that will change their quality of life for the better. He isn’t promising that they’ll be successful after snapping their fingers because everyone, even those with clear visions, still experiences roadblocks on their paths to success. At the very least, it’ll help the participants figure out what they want in their lives.

The Your Vision Workshop runs on Saturday, June 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the NABI Mission Center at 13 Mission Ave. The price is $39 per person ($60 for couples) and each attendee gets a free copy of his book, Unstuck: Turn Your Life Into a Masterpiece.
