Upcoming events and news

Art Battle #1909 will take place starting at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Casino Yellowhead, 12464 153 St. in Edmonton. The creative contest features 12 artists (including Sturgeon Composite grad Natalie Bee Lowe) vying for the audience's cheers. The St. Albert Painters’ Guild Art Show and Sale is only weeks away. The annual event features dozens of participating artists and provides a showcase for their artwork throughout the year. It runs on Friday, October 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the opening reception (featuring live music) starting at 7 p.m. The event continues on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and concludes on Sunday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. paintersguild.wildapricot.org
