Bokenfohr loses seat in county

Alanna Hnatiw has been acclaimed as mayor.

Councillor Wayne Bokenfohr has lost his Division 3 seat in Sturgeon County to newcomer Matthew McLennan.

The owner of the Labour Neighbour landscaping company and a seven-year resident of Division 3, McLennan last ran in the 2017 election, where he came in third behind Ken McGillis and Bokenfohr.  

Bokenfohr earned 401 votes while McLennan scored 636 votes. Bokenfohr served two terms on council.  

Neal Comeau won his seat back in Division four.

Division 5 will be represented by newcomer Deanna Stang.

Newcomer Ronald Shaw won a seat in Division 6. 

Alanna Hnatiw has been acclaimed as mayor and Dan Derouin and Kristin Toms have been acclaimed as councillors in Divisions 1 and 2, respectively.
