Incumbent Mayor Cathy Heron is leading the mayoral race in St. Albert after nine polling stations have reported.
Angela Wood was previously in the lead, but is now in second place with 5,262 votes while Heron has 5,771 votes.
Bob Russell has 1,442 votes and David Letourneau has 2,045 votes.
As for council candidates, incumbent Sheena Hughes, incumbent Ken Mackay, newcomer Mike Killick, incumbent Wes Brodhead, newcomer Shelly Biermanski, and incumbent Natalie Joly are currently leading the pack for council seats.
Nine polling stations represent 75 per cent of the vote out of a total of 12 polling stations.
