Heron leads in St. Albert race with half the polls reporting

Angela Wood was previously in the lead, but is now in second place with 3,746 votes while Heron has 3,973 votes.

Incumbent Mayor Cathy Heron is leading the mayoral race in St. Albert after six polling stations have reported. 

Angela Wood was previously in the lead, but is now in second place with 3,746 votes while Heron has 3,973 votes. 

Bob Russell has 1,034 votes and David Letourneau has 1,362 votes. 

As for council candidates, incumbent Sheena Hughes, incumbent Ken Mackay, newcomer Mike Killick, incumbent Wes Brodhead, newcomer Shelly Biermanski, and incumbent Natalie Joly are currently leading the pack for council seats. 

Six polling stations represent 50 per cent of the vote, out of a total of 12 polling stations.
