After several months of speculation and frantic digging through pockets and purses, people of the capital region can finally learn who purchased a winning Lotto Max ticket from last October.
The single ticket was worth $60 million, an amount that ties the same record amount won by a couple from Peers, approximately 177 km west of Edmonton, in September of 2017.
The prize from the Oct. 26, 2018 draw remained unclaimed until now. All that was announced was that the ticket was purchased in Edmonton.
The winner will be revealed during a media conference at the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Office in St. Albert on Wednesday morning.
