Morinville RCMP request the public's assistance in grocery store theft

RCMP say two suspects backed a gold Chevy through the front doors of Gibbons Food Town and stole cash and cigarettes.

Morinville RCMP responded to a commercial intrusion alarm at Gibbons Food Town on Dec. 18 at 4:30 a.m. Upon arriving, officers determined someone had broken in and stolen items.

Surveillance footage showed two suspects backed up a gold coloured, four-door Chevrolet pick-up truck through the front doors of the grocery store. The two suspects then proceeded to steal cash and cigarettes from inside. The entire incident lasted less than a minute and a half. 

One suspect carried a green canvas bag and wore a dark grey hoodie, dark pants, red shoes and white/beige gloves, as well as a black mask.

The second suspect carried a black and grey backpack and wore a dark grey hoodie, dark pants, grey running shoes with white soles and black gloves.
