Two suspects sought in robbery attempt at Gibbons Circle K

Morinville RCMP are looking for two men who tried to pull an ATM out of the floor at the Circle K store with a tow rope attached to a truck.

On July 18 around 3 a.m. RCMP responded to a theft in process at the store in Gibbons. Two men with their faces covered and wearing gloves entered the building and attempted to use a silver Dodge mega cab truck to pull the ATM out of the floor.

The store clerk was present through the entire incident but was not injured and did not interact with the culprits. The suspects fled empty-handed.

The driver of the vehicle is described as six-feet, two-inches with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hoodie with a Crooks and Castles design, grey pants and dark coloured shoes.

The second suspect is described as Caucasian, five-feet, five-inches with a medium build. He was wearing dark coloured pants and a dark coloured hoodie.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 2010 to 2018 silver or grey Dodge ¾-ton or one-ton mega cab truck with fender flares and a receiver hitch.

Recovered stolen equipment

The Morinville RCMP seized stolen property they recovered after conducting a search warrant on a property in Sturgeon County.

On July 16 the RCMP recovered two motor vehicles, three trailers and two skid steers.

The approximate value of the recovered property exceeds $100,000.
