Exposing himself in the lobby of a local hotel added three more months behind bars for a 35-year-old man.

Steven John Klaric admitted his actions to a Provincial Court judge on Monday, pleading guilty to causing a disturbance and breaching his probation.

The court heard how last November, Klaric was attempting to find employment and staying with family in St. Albert when he decided one night to consume copious amounts of alcohol, as well as taking the drug ecstasy.

He ended up at the St. Albert Inn where he created a large disturbance by exposing himself in the lobby before he was located in the ladies’ washroom.

Klaric was taken into custody and placed in police holding cells, where further indecent acts continued.

According to his lawyer, Klaric has no recollection of the events that unfolded on the night in question.

Prior to the incident, Klaric had been released from custody in Medicine Hat, but was still on probation for other unrelated crimes.

In addition, he had yet to complete the final four months of a conditional sentence order (CSO), which Judge Jeanne Burch ordered him to serve in custody.

Klaric, who has a lengthy criminal record, was also sentenced to another three months behind bars for causing the disturbance at the St. Albert Inn.
