Three suspects are in custody in Morinville this afternoon after RCMP warned the public of a heavy police presence in town shortly after noon.
Officers are still investigating in the area and would like to thank the public for their co-operation, Morinville RCMP said in a statement released at 1:20 p.m.
In an earlier release issued at 12:08 p.m. RCMP had asked the public to avoid the area near 103rd Street and 100th Avenue in Morinville and avoid posting images on social media until the incident had been resolved.
RCMP said an update will be provided once charges have been sworn.
