St. Albert RCMP and St. Albert Victim Services to celebrate police week

St. Albert RCMP and St. Albert Victim Services are hosting a block party on May 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of this year's Police Week. The event will take place in front of the detachment on Bellerose Drive.

St. Albert RCMP and St. Albert Victim Services are hosting a block party on May 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of this year's Police Week. The event will take place in front of the detachment at 96 Bellerose Dr.

"This year's theme is "Meet Your Neighbour" and we are celebrating by inviting the public to come have a free hot dog and a water with your Detachment," St. Albert RCMP said in a media release. "Information on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design and the #9PMRoutine will be distributed to the public.

"Our officers will be available to discuss these safety programs and answer police related questions."

At 11:30 a.m., Inspector Robinson and City Councillor, Ray Watkins will be cutting a ribbon to "open" police week and delivering some welcoming remarks, according to St. Albert RCMP.
