St. Albert RCMP search for suspect who used counterfeit U.S. bills

At about 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 19, a man purchased a gift card at the Inglewood Safeway using American $50 bills.

Upon closer scrutiny, the store staff noticed all of the USD $50 bills had the same serial number and were counterfeit. The gift card had already been used to buy merchandise at another business.

The suspect who had passed the counterfeit bills is described as:
  • light skinned
  • very short, dark hair
  • moustache and goatee – neatly trimmed
  • slim build
  • wearing a black hoodie with a large emblem on the front.
