St. Albert surpasses 300 active COVID-19 cases

Fourteen more people recovered in the past 24 hours; 35 new cases were reported.

St. Albert added an another 35 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the city's total active cases to 319.

The city broke the 300 active case mark overnight, jumping up from 298 on Tuesday. Fourteen more people recovered.

A total of 851 people in St. Albert have come down with the virus since the beginning of the pandemic, and 529 of them have recovered.

Morinville has 46 active cases with 95 people having recovered so far.

Sturgeon County currently has 100 active cases, with 211 people having recovered from the virus so far.

On Wednesday, the province announced another 1,685 cases of COVID-19 across Alberta, with 504 people in the hospital. Ninety-seven of those people are in the ICU and 10 more Albertans have died.

There are currently 17,144 active cases in the province.

In the past 24 hours, the province has conducted 18,432 tests with a 9.2-per-cent positivity rate.
