St. Albert's active COVID cases nearly double to 57

St. Albert is now over the province's watch threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 people.

Fifty-seven people in St. Albert currently have COVID-19, according to provincial data.

That's an increase of 26 from Friday, when the city was reporting 31 active cases. The increase pushed St. Albert over the provincial threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 people, meaning it is now under an enhanced classification.

A total of 184 people have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 to date. One hundred twenty-five people have recovered. Two people have died.
