Third Albertan dies of COVID-19

On Sunday, the Alberta government said a third Albertan has died of COVID-19 and 40 more cases of the illness have been documented, bringing the amount of Albertans diagnosed to 661.

There are 408 people in the Calgary zone who have tested positive so far, 149 in the Edmonton zone, 46 in the Central zone, 45 in the North zone and 12 in the South zone. There is also one in a zone that has yet to be confirmed.

In total, 41 people have been hospitalized and 14 have been admitted to intensive care.

Up to 60 of the cases may be due to community transmission.
