Three Sturgeon County residents are facing 36 charges after St. Albert RCMP officers helped a neighbouring detachment investigate break-and-enters.

Officers with St. Albert's crime reduction unit searched a Calahoo residence on Nov. 27, targeting suspects who RCMP say had been tied to more than 15 break-and-enter investigations in Westlock, Parkland and Sturgeon counties as well as Edmonton.

Many of the break-ins were at rural properties, and the police investigation showed the suspects had attempted to sell some of the stolen items on Kijiji.

The search warrant uncovered numerous stolen firearms, tools, power equipment, ATVs with tampered and removed vehicle identification numbers, and a stolen truck.

Clinton Galliford, 40; Gunther Schawarten, 34; and Krystal Gregoire, 32 face charges of possessing stolen property, unlawfully possessing firearms, tampering with vehicle identification numbers, break and enter, and drug charges. All of the suspects are from Sturgeon County.

They are scheduled to appear in St. Albert provincial court on Jan. 11.

Anyone with information about any crime can contact the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700, through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by using the P3 Tips app.
