Do you have a friendly and outgoing manner and enjoy striking up conversations with people? Help sell Yellow Ribbon merchandise at the Pita Pit in South Common on Nov. 13 and show your support for the military community.

Do you have a Class 4 license and are you available to drive on Tuesdays? This organization has a small passenger bus that transports clients within St. Albert and needs your help.

Are you friendly and outgoing? Volunteer at this Edmonton community carnival and help to make this day memorable for the inner-city children and their families who attend. Event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 20. Volunteer roles include helping at game booths, handing out prizes and assisting with food.

Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth (PARTY) — help a team of committed community members present this hard hitting and informative program to today's youth at the Grade 9 level. The focus is to impact on youth the consequences of making bad choices and to prevent tragedy. Medical background would be an asset but not necessary.

In this upcoming season of giving, volunteer to support this organization that helps so many in need all year. From Nov. 19 to Dec. 24, help to accept donations at various St. Albert locations. Shifts are three hours each. Minimum age to volunteer is 14 years of age.

Be a part of the Relay For Life and help celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and find a cure for the disease. The St. Albert event takes place June 11, 2011, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., but volunteers currently needed for project work leading up to the event and to assist in organizing the event. Help show St. Albert’s community spirit by lending a hand to this major charity event.

Do you enjoy meeting people and helping others? The Alberta 55 Plus Winter Games are coming to St. Albert Feb. 24 to 27, 2011, and need individuals to help host and represent the games and the community of St. Albert. While you help others with questions they might have, you will mingle with people from across Alberta and help to make it a memorable event for all.

Do you have intermediate alpine skiing or snowboarding skills? Help people with disabilities to live richer and fuller lives by sharing those skills and providing ski or snowboard instruction to these individuals. Lessons are Wednesday evenings at Rabbit Hill, during an eight-week Learn to Ski program, Jan. 12 to March 2, 2011.
