Be a part of this fun festival that inspires and ignites the imaginations of the young and young at heart. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun at an event that is a feast for the senses and an inspiration for the imagination! Assist as an activity assistant to do face painting or as an information guide, usher or driver. You can help children with crafts or volunteer as a team leader and take on a co-ordination role. Volunteer and share this magical experience with over 55,000 children and families! Festival runs May 26 to 30 in St. Albert.

Help to find a cure for diabetes and volunteer at this event, a three/five/10 kilometre walk/run, Saturday June 6 at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park. Volunteers needed as course marshals, for registration desk duties, food distribution, and security and as parking attendants.

Help at this popular, family-focused kids’ triathlon with lots of multisport fun Sunday June 14 in St. Albert. Emphasis is on fun and safety, where volunteers work inside the pool counting lanes, outside directing traffic and in the transition area and water stations. Marshals help athletes find their way and boost the moral of the kids with cheering along the way.

Whether you’re a Shakespeare nut or a Shakespeare newbie, you will be sure to enjoy this festival volunteer experience in Hawrelak Park June 30 to July 26. Volunteer positions include ushering, selling tickets, concession, beer tent, raffle ticket and merchandise sales and parking patrol. What a fun way to enjoy an evening or weekend afternoon and see great performances at the same time.

Habitat For Humanity’s Edmonton location needs a volunteer to help maintain its prefab shop. Duties include maintaining order in the shop, keeping tools and equipment organized and assisting with loading and unloading of equipment. Work times can be flexible.

Are you friendly, outgoing and want to have some fun for a great cause? Volunteer at this one-day event June 20 and help raise funds and awareness for cancers below the waist. Assist with race packet preparation and registration or as event flow monitors, members of the welcome team, parking, assisting on the course, helping out with check in points and motivating the walkers and runners participating in the event. Minimum age for volunteers is 12. This is a great opportunity for families, groups and clubs to volunteer together.
