The St. Albert Community Information & Volunteer Centre has many volunteer opportunities to choose from and can help find the right fit for you, even if you are not sure of what that might be. Be a part of this organization and the good work that it does. Help to keep Crime Stoppers a visible program in the community and make a difference in the community.

Volunteer at one of our community’s major heritage sites, St. Albert Grain Elevator Park. Special events include July 1 Dominion Day and Aug. 29 Harvest Fest, where you will be assisting with children’s programming for the afternoon. Minimum age is 13 years.

Enjoy the beautiful summer days and help to bring this family event to our community. Volunteer at St. Albert’s downtown outdoor market and assist with set up and take down, hand out vendor numbers and buttons, answer questions about vendors and products, work the lost and found, sell market bags and help with activities on special days. Market runs Saturdays, June 13 to Sept. 26.

Mentor youth up to 14 years of age in summer science and/or computer camps, as you assist instructors and provide support to participants by encouraging learning through a variety of hands-on and interactive activities. You will build on your experience in areas of science, technology, education, entertainment and tourism, and will enhance your leadership, communication and public relation skills. These student volunteers should be a minimum of 15 years of age, with Grade 9 Science, and should be friendly, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.

More than 1,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities from all over Alberta will converge on St. Albert for these games from June 26 to 28 and many volunteers are needed to help make it a success. Choose from a wide variety of roles such as officials, judges, security, chauffeurs, marshals, medical, registrars, food services, hosts and the set up and take down at sites. Be a part of helping these athletes reach their goals and a part of the provincial games experience.

Be a part of this very popular Edmonton summer festival as it celebrates its 25th anniversary! There are a wide variety of volunteer positions available including ticket sellers, selling Groceries and Gas For Life raffle tickets, greeters at all entry sites, information booth, security, volunteer tent, and helping at the Safeway Family Pancake Breakfast. Festival takes place July 17 to 26. Many four-hour shifts to choose from.

This organization is celebrating Poundmaker's 36th and Nechi's 35th anniversaries this summer with a powwow on July 17, 18 and 19 at the Poundmaker Lodge grounds in St. Albert. Volunteers are needed for various positions such as security, grounds patrol, clean up, concession booths, first aid and general assistance.
