Senior B Miners

A six-game homestand for the senior B St. Albert Miners ends Friday in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Ball drop is 8 p.m. against the Edmonton Warriors.

The Miners (6-1) are undefeated in six games after losing the season opener 13-9 to the Outlaws (6-3) in Beaumont.

The winners of three consecutive President’s Cup national championships are 93-5-2 overall since losing the 2015 RMLL provincial final.

Junior A Miners

The junior A St. Albert Miners play the Calgary Raiders twice this weekend at Go Auto Arena.

Game times are 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Miners (3-6) are winless in five games in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League after losses of 11-6 to the Mountaineers (3-1) and 9-8 to the Raiders (2-3) last weekend in Calgary.

The Miners were led by Dallyn Rai’s three goals and nine points, and Braedan Duckworth’s four goals and seven points.

Crude lacrosse

Thursday the junior B Tier I St. Albert Crude entertains the Sherwood Park Outlaws in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Ball drop is 9 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The Crude (8-3) and Outlaws (1-9) are second and fourth, respective, in the four-team north division.

The Crude are winners of four in a row and six of the last seven games.

Saturday’s visitors are the Calgary Chill (7-3-1), the top south division team. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

Women’s rugby

Two matches in three days for the St. Albert Rugby Football Club's division two women’s team kicks off tonight in the Edmonton Rugby Union.

SARFC (1-2) hosts the Clan (1-3), the defending champion, and Fridays’ match will be staged at the Lep/Tigers (3-0). Start times are 7 p.m.

In the Alberta premier women’s division, the round two fixtures start Saturday with SARFC (3-1) against the visiting Calgary Hornets (2-2) at 2 p.m.

In round one, teams in the north and south played a round robin in their respective divisions and the top four qualified for the eight-team round two fixtures.

NCABL games

The next North Central Alberta Baseball League game for the senior AA St. Albert Cardinals is Thursday in Sherwood Park.

The first pitch is 7:15 p.m. against the Athletics (4-1) at Centennial Diamonds.

Saturday’s doubleheader times between the Cardinals (3-1-1) and Edmonton Athletics (0-6) are 1:30 and 4 p.m. at Wally Footz Field.
