13U Cardinals

The 13U AAA St. Albert Cardinals will be busy this weekend, with two games coming up on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The team won their last game on July 7 against the Calgary Jr. Dinos 11-1, and are currently first in the league with 44 points.

The Cardinals (22-5-0) take on the Parkland Twins (15-14-0), who sit fifth in the league with 30 points, on Saturday afternoon, before playing Fort McMurray Oil Giants (2-28-0) – currently last in the league with four points – in the evening.

On Sunday evening, the team plays the Red Deer Braves (19-7-0) in the last game of the season. The Braves currently sit in second place behind the Cardinals with 38 points.

The game against the Parkland Twins will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, and the game against Fort McMurray Oil Giants at 6 p.m. The game against the Red Deer Braves is Sunday at 6 p.m. All games will be at the Legion Memorial Ball Park’s Peewee Diamond.

15U Cardinals

The 15U AAA St. Albert Cardinals take on the Edmonton Padres next Tuesday, and the Red Deer Braves next Thursday, in their two last games of the season.

The Cardinals (20-7-0) are currently first in the North division with 40 points, with the Padres (7-17-0) sitting in third with 14.

The Braves (21-5-0) are currently tied for first in the Central division with 42 points, sitting only two points ahead of the Cardinals with three games before Thursday.

The games will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at Legion Memorial Ball Park’s Active Physioworks Field.

St. Albert Crude

The St. Albert Crude Lacrosse Club head to the playoffs, sitting at second in the North division with 31 points after their two final regular season games this past weekend.

The Crude (15-4-1) won their game 11-7 against the Calgary Mountaineers on Saturday before falling to the North division’s first place Fort Saskatchewan Rebels (15-3-2) 13-11 on Sunday.

The Crude’s first playoff game will take place tonight at 9 p.m. against the Edmonton Warriors (5-15-0) at Bill Hunter Arena (formerly Jasper Place). The Warriors are currently third in the North division with 10 points.

Their next game will be Thursday against the Warriors at 8 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena, with a third on Friday if necessary.
