Raiders at home

Tonight’s game between the St. Albert Nektar Raiders and Canadian Athletic Club starts at 8 p.m. at Jarome Iginla Arena.

Last month the Raiders (9-1-2) and Canadians (4-6-2) skated to a 3-3 draw.

The Raiders are the top defensive team (1.41 GAA) in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League as the north division leaders.

The last game for the Raiders was Sunday’s 2-1 win against the host Grande Peace Storm (8-3).

Mathieu Gautier’s second goal of the contest was potted on the power play to make it 2-0 with under eight minutes to play and Carson Ironside (4-0-1, 1.40 GAA) stopped 26 shots.

Midget AA games

St. Albert’s midget AA teams have the following games scheduled against division opponents in the Northern Alberta Hockey League.

The Steel (7-2) visit the Sturgeon Sting (5-6-1) today at 2:45 p.m. at Morinville Leisure Centre and Sunday’s game against the Peace River Royals (7-4) starts at 1:45 p.m. at Jarome Iginla Arena.

Tuesday the Source for Sports Crusaders (8-0-1) host the Sherwood Park Oilers (7-3-1) at 8:30 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena.

Brady Harroun is the top scorer for the two-time defending Playoff Cup champion Crusaders with 11 goals and 18 points.

The Steel are led offensively by Sean Mitchell’s 13 points and he shares the team lead in goals with Jayden Antunes at six apiece.

Midget 15 Flyers

Today at 5:30 p.m. the St. Albert Flyers faceoff against the CNHA Blazers of Calgary at Jarome Iginla Arena.

In the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League, the Flyers (5-4-4) are ranked in the middle of the north division and the Blazers (2-8-1) are at the bottom of the south division.

Zakk Makeiff leads the Flyers with eight goals and 21 points.

Bantam AA action

The bantam AA season continues for St. Albert's three teams in the Northern Alberta Hockey League.

Tonight the Bears entertain the Lloydminster Blazers (6-3-2) at 7:45 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.

Friday the Blues played the Strathcona Warriors (5-3-1) in St. Albert and the score was unavailable at press time.

The next game is Nov. 28 in Sherwood Park against the Leafs (3-2-5) at 8:15 p.m.

Wednesday the Saints are up against SSAC Pro Hockey Life (5-2-2) at 7:45 p.m. at Jarome Iginla Arena.

The Blues (9-0-3), Saints (6-4-3) and Bears (2-6-1) are slotted in the metro conference’s blue division in the 30-team league.
