Bantams rack up the wins

The bantam AAA St. Albert Cardinals continue to impress. Last weekend they went 4-0 in two doubleheaders at Legion Memorial Park, beating Okotoks Red 7-3 and 11-6 before topping the Red Deer Braves 6-4 and 4-3.

The Alberta Age Class Provincial Championships brought out the very best in the St. Albert Track and Field Club. Last weekend’s podium finishes by the host club are as follows: Emma Curle, bantam girls – second: 800m bantam (2:34.56).

Oilers draft Bunz

Tyler Bunz’s long-time dream came true Saturday afternoon. Not only was the St. Albert goalie selected on day two of the NHL Entry Draft, he was scooped up by the Edmonton Oilers.
