Cancer affects people from all levels of society. According to statistics from canada.ca, in 2021, an estimated 229,000 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer, and 84,600 will die from cancer.

Men need to be proactive in monitoring their overall health. This includes seeing their doctors for regular wellness visits and keeping up with recommended screenings to catch and/or prevent illnesses.

Started in Melbourne, Australia, by two friends nearly 20 years ago, Movember has become a global, mustachioed phenomenon that has since helped to fund more than 1,250 men's health projects.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the number one cancer, with 99 per cent of cases occuring in men over age 50. In fact, six out of every 10 prostate cancer diagnoses are in men who are 65 and older.
