TORONTO — Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Up $1.75, or 8.68 per cent, at $21.92 on 19.79 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financials. Up 21 cents, or 0.98 per cent, at $21.71 on 17.56 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Industrials. Up 2.5 cents, or 6.49 per cent, at 41 cents on 14.2 million shares.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Up $1.37, or 4.82 per cent, at $29.79 on 10.4 million shares.

Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Up 87 cents, or 2.27 per cent, at $39.18 on 9.46 million shares.

Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE). Energy. Up 70 cents, or 11.36 per cent, at $6.86 on 8.46 million shares. 

Companies in the news: 

Loblaw Companies Ltd. (TSX:L). Up 59 cents, or 0.92 per cent, at $64.85. Grocery and pharmacy retailer Loblaw signed a partnership deal with technology company Gatik to test autonomous delivery vehicles in Toronto starting in January. The company also said Monday it's making the PC Health app available to download in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta after an initial rollout in Atlantic Canada last month.

Iamgold Corp. (TSX:IMG). Down 17 cents, or 3.82 per cent, at $4.28. Iamgold said it is temporarily reducing the underground workforce at its Westwood mine in Quebec following what it called a seismic event. The temporary reduction affects 437 workers, or about 70 per cent of the underground workforce, the company said.

Boralex Inc. (TSX:BLX). Up 62 cents, or 1.58 per cent, at $39.84. Boralex signed a deal to buy controlling interests in seven solar power plants in the United States from Centaurus Renewable Energy LLC and other investors for $283 million.

Obsidian Energy Ltd. and Bonterra Energy Corp. (TSX:OBE, TSX:BNE). Obsidian up five cents, or 11.11 per cent, at 50 cents. Bonterra up four cents, or 2.44 per cent, at $1.68. Obsidian Energy Ltd. says shareholders have voted to approve its proposal to issue up to 72.3 million shares to buy Bonterra Energy Corp. in a hostile takeover.
