April 6, 1939- April 11, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce Diana’s passing.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Sarah, Jennifer (Rob) and Emma, her grandsons Nick, Josh, David, Ian, Alex and Liam, her siblings Rosemary (Brian) and Graham (Lynne) and many other friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2019.
Diana lived a full life in many places across the UK and Canada. In every new town she participated and volunteered in the community. Her profession was mathematics, but her interests were many. She was a tennis player and painter. After tennis, she took up karate, working her way to the black belt level. In later years she enjoyed her Tai Chi and aquacise groups. She devoted many hours to adult literacy tutoring. Diana was always open to new experiences and new ideas and was a wonderful sounding post for many people.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Citadel Care Centre, especially the ladies on Grassland, for their kindness and excellent care of Diana over the past 5 years.
A private family interment will take place when circumstances permit. Donations in Diana’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT.
