It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mark Harold Bokenfohr of Sturgeon County on November 18th 2022 at the age of 59 after along battle with MS, peacefully, surrounded by family at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.

 

He will be remembered by his wife of 31 years, Maree; sons, Colton and Randy; mother Irene Bokenfohr; brother Allan (Beccie) Bokenfohr; sisters, Carol Pollard, Donna Ziesman, Marj (Terry) McRae, Sheila (Herman) Kroon; mother-in-law Doreen Baillie; brothers-in-law, John and Michael Baillie; as well as many nephews, nieces and other cherised family and friends whom he loved.

 

He was predeceased by his father Ferdinand Bokenfohr; sister Barbara Bokenfohr; brother-in-law Darryl Pollard; and nephew Nicholaus McRae.

 

Mark was born in Edmonton and lived and worked in Sturgeon County on the family farm his whole life, farming grain, cattle and until he became ill, pigs. He loved working on cars, trucks and farm machinery and loved John Deere equipment. He was extremely hard working and took pride in his work. He dedicated his life to his family and farming and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

We would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the staff. the Youville Home in St. Albert and the doctors and nurses of the Sturgeon Community Hospital Emergency Depertment and Unit 15 for your kindness and caring.

 

A Visitation will be held at 12:00-2:00p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
 

There will be no service as per Mark's wishes. For those who wish, donations can be made to St. Albert Youville Home.
