It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Daniel Joseph Otto Brenneis on October 25, 2021, at the age of 93. He is fondly remembered by his children Dawne (Rick) Palmer, Vi, Alan (Morag), Albert (Lana), and Pam; grandchildren Brett (Barb) Palmer, Courtney (Ryan) Rebke, Colin (Amy), Jennifer, Ryan (Lauren), Brendan Andrusiak (Katrina Jorgensen), Morgan, and Alison; great grandchildren Kayley, Shelby, and Quinn Palmer, Emma and Aubrey Rebke, and Franklin. Dan’s siblings Alex, Oliver, Vera (Hector) Soetaert, sisters-in-law Theresa, Connie, Alexandria, Johanna, Melba Kopjar, Phyllis Borle, and many nieces and nephews also mourn his passing. Dan was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years Grace, parents Ed and Elise, brothers Maurice, Ralph, Oscar, Norman, sister Violet Hermanutz, and great granddaughter Madison Palmer.
A private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Sturgeon People Aging in Place Foundation, 26504 SH 633, Sturgeon County, AB, T8T 1R9.
