Born April 14, 1928 Cornwall, England

Mary gained her angel wings on October 10, 2021 so she can be rejoined with her loving husband, Roy James Burrows who passed away May 1, 1992. Mary was the Matriarch of the Burrows family and much beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Although Mary’s life started in England, she moved to Millet, Alberta with her husband, Roy shortly after WWII. From there, oil took the Burrows family to Drayton Valley, Calgary, Paris, France, back to Drayton Valley, and finally to Rimbey, Alberta.

During these years Mary gained many skills and experiences. These included: Certified General Accountant, Certified Landscape Architect, Municipal Councilor, Provincial Flower Judge, Author, and Provincial Social Service Consultant. Mary was also President of Alberta’s Agricultural Society, a long-time member of the Alberta Women’s Institute and of Eastern Star. Her leisure time included obtaining her pilot’s license, playing the organ on Sundays in church, and hosting a TV cooking show, not to mention her love of gardening and knitting.

Mary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Lyn Luchak (Stan) and son, Robert Burrows (Audrey), her grandchildren, Christine Yang (Kevin) and Steven Luchak (Angela), Kirsten Burrows Inglis (Cale), Kyle Burrows, Kory Burrows (Alexa) and great grandchildren, Emma, Megan, and Breanna Luchak, Simon and Mary Yang, and Piper, Atticus, and Falon Inglis.
