It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Janet Copland on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 90.
Janet will be sadly missed by her daughter Heather (Dale) Adams; grandson Brian (Michelle) Adams; great-grandsons Silas and Everett; sister-in-law, Margaret Copland; nieces and nephews and friends.
Janet was predeceased by her husband Jim; son, James; brothers Jack (Pam) Anderson and Bert (Violet) Anderson; brothers-in-law Bill (Bunty) Copland and Francis Copland, and nieces Dianne Longmuir and Heather Anderson.
Janet was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and immigrated to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with her husband and daughter in 1957. In 2000, Janet and Jim moved to St. Albert to be closer to immediate family. Janet was an avid reader of crime and mystery novels and an enthusiastic knitter. Prior to her retirement in 1996, Janet worked for thirteen years as a matron in the RCMP guardroom in Saskatoon.
The family would like to mention a special thank you to the staff at Foyer Lacombe in St. Albert for their care and compassion.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
