1950 - 2019

It is with deep sorrow and much love, that the family of Dianne Nadeau (Nee: Kohel) of Edmonton mourn her passing on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 69 years after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard of nearly 50 years; children: Timothy (Jennifer) and Nicole (Cam Teel); grandchildren: Mikayla, Grayson, Jayden and Riley; brothers and sisters: Glenn, Ed, Joanne and Teresa as well as her numerous relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Walter and Joyce Kohel.

Dianne was born in Edmonton on March 15, 1950, the oldest of five siblings. She attended St. Joseph High School and went on to graduate from the accounting program at NAIT. She made her home in the community of St. Albert for over 25 years where she made many cherished friends and was involved with many charitable and community organizations. Most recently Dianne was retired from her position as office administrator with the City of Edmonton. Dianne enjoyed cooking, gardening, having a good laugh with friends and most of all, spending time with her loving family. Dianne was a deeply caring soul that brightened up every room she was in and brought comfort to anyone in need.

Dianne will be remembered for being selfless. Often sacrificing her own needs for the good of her family. Always supportive and encouraging, always wise and kind with her words and she never lost her sense of humor. We will hold you forever tightly in our hearts.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, AB.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (www.albertacancer.ca)

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and medical staff that took care of Dianne’s needs during her illness. A special thank you to Dr. Basi of the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute, who provided a superior level of care and comfort to our mother over the years.
