It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Firth at the age of 78, after a long hard fought, courageous battle with cancer. He surrendered on Thursday, September 29th, 2022, surrounded by his family at home.

Gary leaves to celebrate his life, loving wife of 56 years Dianne, son Ryan (Paula), daughter Richelle (Cameron); cherished grandchildren, Kianna, Gavin, Jennae and Caden; sister Jane Oxley, brother Bill (Bev) Firth; sisters-in-law Luella (Reg) Easthope, Marion Halverson, Bobby (Roger) Elliott, Deb Lewis, brother-in-law Martin Kunz as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Catherine Firth, brother Ed Firth (Hugette), sisters Gwen Wilk (Frank) and Phyllis Lewicki (Henry), brother-in-law Eric Oxley, mother-in-law and father-in-law Art and Josepha Kunz, brothers-in-law Jim Halverson and Tim Lewis, and sister-in-law Donna Kunz.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Gary on Friday, October 7th, 2022, at the Sturgeon Golf and Country Club in St. Albert, AB at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation at https://www.albertacancer.ca/investments/prostate-cancer in Gary’s name.
