It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Flora Fitness of St. Albert, Alberta. Flora fought a very short but fierce battle against cancer. She lost her battle on October 6, 2020 at the age of 68 years with family by her side.
Flora enjoyed the simple things in life. She liked working in her garden and sitting on her deck watching all of the beautiful plants brighten up her yard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and creating delicious meals for them. She loved playing with her grandchildren and watching them grow. She was also a member of the St. Albert Rotary Club for over 20 years and had fun meeting, volunteering, and travelling with her fellow Rotarians.
Flora is survived by her loving family; husband Wayne Fitness of 46 years; and two daughters Leah (Joel) Loiselle and their three daughters Eve, Adele and Lucie; and Stacey Fitness (Shawn O’Neil) and their son, Mitchell. She is also survived by her mother, Angelina Machado as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Flora’s name to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of Lemonade Stand Day.
