William Flath, known to many as Pastor Bill, passed away April 23, 2022, at the age of 86.   Born August 23, 1935, in Hafford, SK, to Adolph and Elsa, he spent his life spreading The Lord’s word.  Pastor Flath ministered across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, and became Pastor of The St. Albert Evangelical Church in 1985 and continued his ministry there until his retirement in 2000.  But retired Pastors never quit, so after being part of countless weddings, communions and funerals, he ministered to all, even starting a bible study in the Chartwell Heritage Valley Residence, where he spent his last 2 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Elsa; siblings, Irvin, Edith (Clark), Arthur & Helen; wife, Joanne in 2006 and son Stephen in 2020.  He is survived by sons, Jonathan and Tony (Tracey); as well as grandchildren, Samantha, Veronica and Avery.  He will also be missed by siblings, Peter, Ann (Ed Egert), Rita Werstroh & Alvin.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 6th, at the St. Albert Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., 11 Glenview Crescent, St. Albert, AB, T8N 1B7.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church or a charity of your choice.
