Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 54 on November 23, 2021.
Beloved wife of Ken and loving mother of Krista. Predeceased by her parents Marion and John Carter and sister Joy. Jonna was a kind and gentle soul who accepted everyone without judgment. She had an innate ability to understand people’s needs and used her creativity and leadership skills to meet those needs. She had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of people through her work at the Women's Centre of Hamilton, Mission Services, Centre for Family Literacy, and St. Albert Senior Association. Jonna was a true friend, a skilled mentor, a bird lover, and voracious reader.
A private family gathering will be held. To honour Jonna, donations to breast cancer research would be appreciated or reach out and help someone in need.
