HAMILTON, Keith Drummond

1928 – 2021

 

On February 20, 2021, Keith Hamilton of St. Albert passed away at the age of 92 years.

 

He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his children: Morgan, Sylvia Jane (Ken) Pelechytik and Jonathan.

 

Keith was predeceased by his wife, Patricia in 2020; brothers, David and Neil; and sister, Claire.

 

Keith had an interesting life, having lived on three continents. He was born in Calcutta, India. His formative years were filled with diligent studies and varied sports activities, including cricket. Upon the completion of his grade school studies he moved to Sydney, Australia to begin his new life. Keith began a career as an Insurance Underwriter, staying in that field for several years. In 1955 Keith was proud to be granted his Australian citizenship. In 1956 Keith came to Canada continuing his underwriting career.  It was in Vancouver that he met Patricia and they married in 1960. In the early 1960’s they relocated to St. Albert. In 1965 Keith became a Canadian citizen. He achieved his Registered Industrial Accountant designation in 1978 and was employed by Revenue Canada for the duration of his working life. Keith was active within the community, volunteering his time for many worthwhile causes. He was instrumental in the inception and development of LoSeCa Foundation. His enduring Catholic faith blessed his life and those around him.

 

Due to current restrictions, a Private Funeral Mass is being Celebrated.
