The family of Nancy Anne Johnston is saddened to announce her passing at the age of 65 years. Nancy was born in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Alberta with her family in 1990. A lifelong educator, she was a teacher with the St. Albert Protestant School board, Norquest College and the St. Albert Montessori School and Daycare, and touched the lives of many students throughout her career. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters Heather (Jason) Ruhl and Laura Lynn Johnston; brothers, Wayne (Kate) Manorek and Brian (Pat) Manorek; mother-in-law, Marg Johnston; sisters-in-law, Jean (Rob) Moscardini and Janet (Frank) Rinieri; as well as numerous other relatives, friends and former students.

 

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 25 years, Robert, and her parents, John and Natalie Manorek. A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Friday, January 21 at Braeside Presbyterian Church, 6 Bernard Drive, St. Albert. A live stream will be available for those unable to attend in person. Please contact [email protected] for the link, or to request one of the limited seats at the service. A reception will also be held in Hamilton, Ontario at a later date.

The family would like to thank all those who helped care for Nancy over the past several years, including the caring and professional staff at Hardisty Care Centre in Edmonton, Lifestyle Options Whitemud in Edmonton and River Ridge in St. Albert.
